BBC Worldwide Sends 500-Plus Hours to Iberia

BBC Worldwide has licensed more than 500 hours of content, including Blue Planet II, in Spain and Portugal.

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE secured a factual package of more than 275 hours for its free-to-air channels. The package includes blue-chip series such as Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.

In addition, Fox Networks Group Iberia acquired 260-plus hours of scripted and factual programming. This includes Silent Witness, Father Brown and the Simon Reeve collection.

BBC Worldwide recently sold the format The Sewing Bee to RTVE in Spain and Portuguese public broadcaster RTP. The formats will be produced by Shine Iberia.
