Kew Media Group’s distribution division—formerly Content Media Corporation—is highlighting a slate of new fiction and nonfiction programming in Cannes next week.

“We are extremely excited and proud to be attending MIPCOM under our new Kew Media Group banner, and have an outstanding lineup of content that we look forward to showcasing to new and existing clients throughout the industry,” said Greg Phillips, the company’s president of distribution.

Kew Media Group’s fiction slate is headlined by the detective drama Frankie Drake Mysteries, a CBC original series developed and produced by Shaftesbury in association with CBC and UKTV. A period drama, Frankie Drake Mysteries follows Toronto’s only female private detectives. “Frankie Drake Mysteries offers international audiences strong, intelligent female lead characters,” added Phillips.

Featuring an all-star cast that includes Jill Hennessy (Crossing Jordan), John Carroll Lynch (The Founder) and Kyle Mac (Miss Sloane), is the comedy-drama series Crawford. When raccoons invade the world’s most functioning dysfunctional family’s home, they help breathe life and new meaning into the odd behaviors of the family.

There is also the documentary series Rolling Stone: Stories from the Edge. “Rolling Stone: Stories from the Edge will show the emergence of the iconic magazine, the superb and groundbreaking work of its writers and its impact on society,” Phillips said.

Another highlight is the new biopic documentary special B.B. King: On the Road. The title brings together many of the crew, friends and band members who traveled the road with the iconic blues legend. They recount stories of life “On the Road” as they symbolically travel from Nashville across America’s Deep South in B.B. King’s tour bus. The documentary special EuroTrump follows right-wing populist Geert Wilders, the world’s most famous Islamaphobe, as he runs for Dutch Prime Minister. The filmmakers obtained exclusive access to Wilders, who has lived under 24-hour security protection for the past 12 years due to credible threats on his life from ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

Phillips added, “We’re very pleased to bring such a diverse selection of brand-new content to our international buyers as we head to our first MIPCOM under the new Kew Media Group banner. Our fiction titles deliver unique and original content produced for leading broadcasters that will prove entertaining across multiple platforms, while our nonfiction programming showcases our signature blend of compelling topics brought vividly to life by expert, award-winning production teams.”
