ProSiebenSat.1 Renews Film Licensing Pact

ProSiebenSat.1 Media has renewed its agreement with Constantin Film for a slate of movies, including the third and final installment in the Fack Ju Goehte franchise.

The pact covers Constantin Film local and international productions that will start shooting in 2017 and 2018. “By renewing this agreement, we have secured a first-class entertainment package that strengthens our competitive position in the long run,” said Rüdiger Böss, the executive VP of group programming acquisitions at ProSiebenSat.1 Media. “Constantin is one of the top addresses for talents and artists in Germany and offers exactly the right programming for our stations with its mix of German cinema hits—that perfectly reflect the zeitgeist—and international blockbusters. I am delighted that we are seamlessly continuing our long-standing collaboration.”

The first title in the Fack Ju Goehte series had its free-TV premiere on ProSieben in October 2016 following its theatrical release, and achieved a record market share of around 32 percent among the 14-to-49 set.
