Constantin Film has re-signed Torsten Koch and Oliver Koppert, managing directors, to remain at the helm of the Munich-based outfit for the coming years.

Before he started at Constantin Film, Koch was the manager of Cinemaxx München (Munich), from 1993 to 1996, and Cinedom Köln (Cologne), from 1996 to 1999. He has been at Constantin Film since 1999, first as director of marketing and publicity, then, since 2008, as managing director of distribution, marketing and publicity at Constantin Film Distribution.

Before Koppert joined Constantin Film, he worked at Warner Bros. Germany for nearly ten years and then for more than ten years as head of distribution at United International Pictures and Universal Pictures. He has been responsible for distribution at Constantin Film since April 1, 2007, and managing director of distribution and sales since 2008.

Martin Moszkowicz, CEO of Constantin Film, said: “Torsten Koch and Oliver Koppert are the dream team of the German film industry. They are irreplaceable components of Constantin Film, and by committing these top managers for the long term, we are also showing our continued commitment to cinema.”

Koch said: “Constantin Film has been my professional home for 27 years. Together with our outstanding team, I am looking forward to many new and exciting challenges and opportunities in the coming years. I would like to pay special thanks to the Constantin Film Board for the trust they have put in me. I’m happy to be part of the Constantin family, who have become so dear to my heart.”

Koppert added: “I’m proud of what we have achieved in the last few years, and I’m looking forward to continuing to make my contribution to Constantin remaining successful and growing further in the future. I am convinced that we will continue to achieve huge success as a team. Thanks to the Board for this long-standing trust.”
