Rüdiger Böss, who was the longtime head of acquisitions for ProSiebenSat.1, is joining Constantin Film as a producer.

Taking up the post in November, Böss will be producing theatrical and TV movies. He will also be joining the management team at Constantin Pictures, a subsidiary of Constantin Film International and will be one of the managing directors.

Böss was previously with ProSiebenSat.1 Media, where he worked in various posts from 1993 until 2018. Since 2007, as executive VP of group content acquisitions and sales, he has been responsible for the negotiations and acquisitions of licensed films and series for the entire media group. During his tenure, he landed long-term license deals with the major Hollywood studios and brought hits such as Four Weddings and a Funeral, The Big Bang Theory and Hunger Games to Germany.

Martin Moszkowicz, CEO of Constantin Film, said: “Rüdiger Böss will enrich the creative team at Constantin Film with his experience, know-how and passion for content and expand our position in a constantly changing entertainment landscape.”

Böss: “Constantin Film is one of the best places to be for film, TV and entertainment. Being a producer is a new role for me and one that I’m really looking forward to. I’ve often been annoyed about bad movies and series while I’ve been at Acquisitions; now I have to prove that I can produce really good ones for Constantin.”
