BUDAPEST: AMC Networks International – Central Europe (AMCNI CE) has reached two new deals for AMC carriage in Slovakia, with DIGI Slovakia and Slovak Telekom both adding the channel to their lineup.

AMC will launch for the first time for subscribers of DIGI Slovakia. At the same time, Slovak Telekom widens the channels’s reach by adding AMC to the Basic satellite package Magio TV M. This deal complements existing distribution via the Magio IPTV platform.

The new agreements come just ahead of the season two debut of Fear the Walking Dead, which kicks off on AMC on April 11, simultaneously to the U.S. premiere.

AMCNI CE’S regional sales director, Balazs Hajos, said: “We are delighted that the subscribers of both DIGI Slovakia and Slovak Telekom will be able to watch AMC’s original programming, including the upcoming world premiere of the new season of Fear the Walking Dead. These new launches in Slovakia highlight the growing demand for AMC in the region. We will continue our mission to bring top quality original programming and global hit series fully dubbed to our viewers in Slovakia.”
