Beginning today, Croatian pay-TV provider Vipnet is making the AMC channel available as part of its basic channel package.

This is the first time AMC has been part of a basic package in the market. The deal with Vipnet follows the pact between AMC Networks International—Central & Northern Europe and United Group to bring AMC to new subscribers across Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Slovenia.

Levente B. Málnay, senior VP of AMC Networks International—Central & Northern Europe, commented, “We have a clear focus on the Adriatic region where Vipnet, a member of the Telekom Austria Group, is a key partner. We are delighted to bring AMC’s distinctive original programming, including the upcoming season two debut of Preacher and world premiere episodes of the new season of Fear the Walking Dead, to Vipnet subscribers later this year. This new launch highlights the growing demand for AMC in the region, and we will continue our mission to bring premium original drama series to viewers at the same time or within days of the U.S. premieres.”
