Endemol Shine UK Ups Nick Mather

LONDON: Endemol Shine UK has promoted Nick Mather from joint managing director of Remarkable Television to the newly expanded role of creative director of the central creative team.

In this role, Mather will be responsible for the origination and development of new IP across multiple platforms, identifying new commissioning opportunities with U.K. broadcasters and overseeing the central creative team within Endemol Shine UK. Jamie Ormerod, current head of entertainment development at Remarkable Television, will join Mather’s team as head of entertainment and formats.

“The central creative team has long been a home for experimentation and development of new ideas as well as bringing through new talent at Endemol UK,” said Richard Johnston, the CEO of Endemol Shine UK. “In all respects there is no one better suited than Nick to head up this engine room for the expanded group and we’re delighted he has accepted the challenge to take on this new role.”

The central creative team, established in 1998, is a unit of development executives. One aspect of this unit is the creative intern scheme, in which Mather participated in 2000, prior to joining the BBC development team.
