Viasat World has struck a carriage deal with Vivacom, the largest telecommunications operator in Bulgaria, to launch its Epic Drama channel on Vivacom TV.

The SVOD catalog related to the channel will also be available to subscribers by the end of the year. Program highlights on Epic Drama at launch in October include the second season of Harlots, set against the cosmopolitan backdrop of 18th-century Georgian London; Babylon Berlin, exploring Berlin in the ’20s; and Beowulf: Return to The Shieldlands, which follows Beowulf as he strives to be a man and a hero.

Epic Drama joins Viasat World’s other flagship channels—TV1000, Viasat Nature, Viasat History and Viasat Explore—which are already broadcast by the operator.

Emma Jones, VP of commercial affairs at Viasat World, comments: “We are delighted that Vivacom has decided to launch Epic Drama, now taking our complete flagship portfolio on its platform. We have become great partners—working closely together to bring the best of content to audiences via our expertly curated channels. Epic Drama is no exception—delivering stand-out content in an increasingly crowded environment and with a fantastic new pipeline of programming secured for the coming months, it is sure to wow Vivacom audiences.”

Kristina Tabakova, senior manager of products and services at Vivacom, said: “We welcome Epic Drama to the Vivacom family, alongside Viasat World’s other much-loved channels. It is a pleasure to work with a like-minded broadcaster which puts great focus on meeting the changing needs of the audience, serving up its package of world-class content for them to watch where, when and how they wish. After a successful decade of partnership, we look forward to what the next decade will bring as we extend our agreement to take Viasat World’s flagship portfolio.”
