David Weitzman Upped at ole

TORONTO: David Weitzman has been elevated to the role of VP of business development at the music-rights-management outfit ole.

Weitzman joined ole in 2009 and has since strategically sourced and developed several important deals for the company. He was integral in the company’s recent acquisition of the Sony Pictures Entertainment music-publishing catalogue as well as ole’s 2012 deal with Timbaland.

Robert Ott, the CEO of ole, said: "I'm very pleased to make this well deserved appointment and look forward to David's continued leadership at ole."
