CMF Collabs with Denmark & New Zealand Receive C$1 Million-Plus

The Canada Media Fund’s (CMF) individual collaborations with the Danish Film Institute (DFI) and New Zealand’s NZ On Air have yielded more than C$1 million ($754,129) in investments for six projects.

Partnering for the second year running, the CMF and DFI are co-developing four digital media projects for which the latter approximately matched the former’s investments for a total of C$278,000 ($209,649) in funding. The titles include Mouse & Crane’s Harbour Adventures: Switch Game & Labo (Tobo, Those Eyes); Project Iceworm (Helios Graphic Design, Copenhagen Film Company Short & Doc); SnowFall (Clever-Plays Studio, PortaPlay ApS); and Under the Sea (Canada: Game Pill, PortaPlay ApS).

CMF and NZ On Air, in the fifth year of their partnership, will fund production for two kids’ digital media projects, together investing more than C$740,000 ($558,055). The children’s titles are Bug Hunter (Firestarter Productions, The Gibson Group) and Kids Cookout (Riverbank Pictures, Cab Productions).
