Canada’s Super Channel Fills COO Post

EDMONTON: Donald WL McDonald, previously executive director of finance and administration at Super Channel, has additionally been named COO, alongside several other appointments at the Canadian pay-TV network.

McDonald reports to CEO Charles R. Allard. In this capacity, McDonald will lead the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company, while continuing to oversee its corporate finance and accounting functions.

Darcy JW Hnatiuk was appointed general manager in June 2016, and assists with advisory support to McDonald in fulfilling his responsibilities, while continuing his duties as general manager of Super Channel’s sister entity, Touch Canada Broadcasting Limited Partnership.

Additionally, Melissa Kajpust, currently the head of creative development, will continue in this role and see it expanded to also include director of programming, international distributors and Canadian presales. Troy Wassill, previously program manager, is appointed to director of programming, domestic distributors and sports.

Katie Lee joins the company in the newly created position of director of consumer marketing. Dan Rudolph, previously the director of program services and on-demand, sees scheduling added to his responsibilities in his newly expanded role as director of program services and content scheduling. Kimberley Ball, publicity manager, takes on an expanded remit as director of media relations and sponsorship.
