Super Channel has appointed Jackie Pardy as director of programming, a position she is transitioning into and will officially begin on May 16.

Pardy will be based in Toronto and report to Don McDonald, president and CEO. She replaces Jenny Hacker, who recently left the position to pursue other opportunities. Pardy will lead the company’s domestic and foreign program acquisitions for three of the network’s four channels (Fuse, Heart & Home and Vault) and oversee development and production of Super Channel’s Canadian productions. She comes to Super Channel most recently from Women in Film & Television– Toronto, where she was director of development, responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships and sponsorships for the organization and its charitable arm, the Foundation for Women in Film & Television. Prior to this, she held the position of director of network content, specialty and pay TV at Corus Entertainment.

“I am delighted to welcome Jackie to Super Channel,” said McDonald. “She is a seasoned industry professional with a wealth of experience in the pay-television and specialty-tv space and will be a fantastic addition to the Super Channel team.”
