Nick Lands on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Japan

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has inked a distribution deal with Amazon, which will launch Nickelodeon Japan as well as MTV MIX on Amazon Prime Video Channels in Japan.

Nickelodeon Japan—offering such hits as SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Shimmer and Shine—and MTV MIX will become available on Amazon Prime Video Channels tomorrow. Members can access the newly added subscription channels when they register on the recently launched Prime Video Channels service.

Mark Whitehead, the president and managing director for Asia Pacific at VIMN, commented: “OTT video services, like Amazon Prime Video, represent an exciting growth path for our flagship brands in a mature subscription TV market like Japan. It speaks to the ongoing connection between our brands and Japanese viewers that both channels are now available across three major OTT platforms in Japan.”
