New Hong Kong, Singapore Deals for HITS

Rewind Networks has secured a new carriage deal with Hong Kong (HK) Cable Television and expanded its relationship with Singtel in Singapore.

Rewind Networks’ deal with HK Cable TV brings HITS and HITS Movies to the pay-TV operator’s basic package as of October 1. With the new carriage, HITS, delivering classic TV shows, tops a reach of 21 million homes across 14 territories.

Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks, noted, “The launch on Cable TV is yet another testament to the channels’ strong proposition and relevance in Asia among leading pay-TV platforms to attract and retain their viewers.”

Shuen Wai Hung, senior VP of subscription sales and marketing at Cable TV, added, “We are confident the channels’ lineup of iconic movies and TV series from the previous decades will be a fantastic addition to our offering.”

Rewind has also expanded its deal with Singtel, bringing HITS Movies to that platform as of October 1. The service will be available in the Singtel TV Family packs. “We’ve shared a great journey entertaining Singtel viewers over the past six-plus years with our first service HITS and look forward to making the magic happen once again with HITS Movies,” said Sandie Lee, executive VP of Rewind Networks.
