MTV, Comedy Central Asia Originals Renewed

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Asia has renewed the Asian originals Ok Danceoke and Comedy Central Stand-up, Asia! for rollout this summer.

The music video dance show Ok Danceoke, produced in Singapore, will return to MTV in the region this June. Comedy Central Stand-up, Asia!, consisting of ten short-form episodes, is back in August with co-pro partner LOL Events.

“We saw solid viewership of both Comedy Central Stand-up, Asia! and MTV Ok Danceoke when we premiered the two shows last year, which demonstrates that these Asia originals have strong appeal with our audiences,” said Paras Sharma, senior VP and general manager for Southeast Asia at VIMN. “Greenlighting these two Asia originals is our commitment to invest in original content for our flagship brands.”
