iflix Scores Malaysian Content from Primeworks

KUALA LUMPUR: The Southeast Asian internet TV service iflix has secured a package of Malaysian TV shows and movies from Media Prima Berhad's Primeworks Distribution. 

The volume deal includes popular Malay dramas such as Setia Hujung Nyawa and Ariana Rose. Also part of the pact are Primeworks Distribution’s hit comedy Friday, I’m In Love and popular shows such as Aku Isterinya, Cinta and Senario.

iflix Malaysia's CEO, Azran Osman-Rani, commented: “We are committed to providing Malaysian iflix subscribers with an extraordinary selection of global, regional and local content. This deal with Primeworks Distribution is an integral piece in fulfilling that promise. Our agreement allows us to provide the best homegrown TV series and movies to our subscribers.”

Datuk Kamal Khalid, the COO of group shared services at Media Prima, added, “Primeworks Distribution is happy to be able to reach viewers through all available platforms. We hope that via iflix, our content will reach a wider audience both nationally and across the region.”
