A+E Networks Hires GM for Korea

NEW YORK: Youngsun Soh, a former Twitter Korea executive, has been named general manager of A+E Networks Korea.

Soh will work out of Seoul under Saugato Banerjee, A+E Networks’ general manager for North Asia. She is charged with developing and delivering on the vision, strategy and business initiatives for A+E Networks in Korea, including expanding the brands and audience, increasing ad sales and developing content investment plans that support those initiatives. She will also establish a digital presence through investment in technology and original content.

Previously, Soh served as the market director at Twitter Korea, where she oversaw all business development efforts and user growth in the country. Before that, she was the executive director of BBC Worldwide Channels Asia. Earlier in her career, she was the senior commercial officer of the UK Trade & Investment in Seoul, and a science and technology officer at the city’s British Embassy.
