Discovery Networks AsiaPac Names South Asia SVP & GM

NEW DELHI/SINGAPORE: Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific is bolstering its India leadership team with the appointment of Karan Bajaj as senior VP and general manager for South Asia, effective October 17.

In his new position, Bajaj will be responsible for reformulating Discovery’s product suite in line with accelerating demand for regional and digital offerings. He will also be expected to execute on the company’s goal to build broader flagship brands and find inorganic growth opportunities. He will work out of Mumbai under Arthur Bastings, the president and managing director of Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific.

Bajaj has more than 15 years of brand management and digital strategy experience across Asia and North America. He most recently led marketing, design and advertising as chief marketing officer at Aden and Anais. Earlier in his career, he served in a number of senior strategy and brand leadership roles for such companies as Kraft, Boston Consulting Group and Procter & Gamble.
