Discovery AsiaPac Adds to Senior Team

SINGAPORE: Discovery Networks Asia Pacific has made several appointments to its corporate leadership team as it continues to expand beyond its linear business in the region.

Arthur Bastings, president and managing director of Discovery Networks Asia Pacific, noted, “We are laser-focused on re-inventing our existing space and growing our business beyond linear across Asia. The new leadership team members bring with them strong entrepreneurial drive and a disruptive mindset. I am thrilled to welcome them on board as we step up our efforts to redefine our product and business portfolio in the region.”

Nikhil Madhok joins Discovery to serve as senior VP and head of products, spearheading the redevelopment of the company’s product suite. He joins the company in January from Star.

Rebecca Kent has moved from the Discovery global business operations team in London to become VP of business transformation.

Darrell Chan has been named VP and regional counsel, effective February 1.

Karun Arya recently left Uber to join Discovery as director and head of corporate communications.

They join a management team that also includes CFO and senior VP of corporate operations, Nilesh Zaveri; senior VP of innovation, Winradit Kasidit Kolasastraseni; VP of corporate development, Jonathan Mills; VP of strategy, Karan Paul; and VP of human resources, Jin Tan.
