BBC Studios has clinched a deal with Singtel in Singapore for a bouquet of linear channels, the on-demand service BBC First and the BBC Player SVOD platform.

As of today, Singtel TV, Singtel TV GO and video streaming platform CAST will begin offering BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies and BBC World News, as well as BBC First. BBC Player will be made available through Singtel sometime early next year.

“Our partnership with Singtel will not only showcase the depth and breadth of our distinctively British and premium programs but also allow us to broaden our reach to more audiences in Singapore, providing viewers with an experience that will entertain, educate and inform,” said Phil Hardman, senior VP and general manager at BBC Studios Asia.

Diana Chen, VP of home, consumer Singapore, at Singtel, added, “As Singapore’s leading pay-TV provider, we are excited to enhance our channel lineup with BBC Studios’ top-tier entertainment across multiple genres for our Singtel TV customers. Through this partnership with BBC Studios, customers will be able to enjoy content ranging from award-winning documentaries, inspiring lifestyle programs to gripping dramas at home or on the go. To celebrate the launch and spread the holiday cheer, we are providing free previews of four BBC channels—BBC Earth, BBC Lifestyle, BBC World News and CBeebies—for Singtel TV customers from now until January.”
