Parrot Analytics Introduces Global TV Demand Awards

This week in Cannes, Parrot Analytics revealed its plans to launch the Global TV Demand Awards, with a ceremony slated to take place at NATPE.

The first-ever data-driven television content awards will be presented in Miami on January 22, 2019. They will recognize TV shows that have garnered the most audience demand around the globe during the 2018 calendar year.

The nominees for most in-demand digital original series in the world are 13 Reasons Why, Black Mirror, Narcos, Star Trek: Discovery and Stranger Things. Up for most in-demand series in the world (across all platforms) are The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy, Vikings and The Walking Dead.

Parrot Analytics CEO Wared Seger stated: “The Global TV Demand Awards celebrate the most popular television shows each year, without a panel of judges or any other subjective voting body. At Parrot Analytics, we provide the most accurate determination of what content people want in an ever-expanding multiplatform world, and for what is now a $500 billion television industry.”

“Parrot Analytics has created a fundamentally different kind of awards program; one that is entirely data-based and reflects the cross-platform nature of our global TV industry today,” added JP Bommel, the president and CEO of NATPE. “All of us at NATPE are excited to host the first Global TV Demand Awards presentation at our conference in Miami and look forward to the announcement of the winners in January.”
