NATPE Spotlight: Endemol Shine International

Taking advantage of the popularity of biopics based on musicians in Latin America, Endemol Shine International heads to the market in Miami with Nicky Jam: El Ganador, which recently launched on Netflix.

“It will be equally compelling for the free-to-air channels,” says Veronique Verges, the company’s senior VP for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic.

La Catedral del Mar, meanwhile, is a high-end co-production based on a Spanish bestseller. “The story will transport the viewers to 14th-century Barcelona,” says Verges.

Also on offer is Fear Factor, which Verges describes as “a classic among the best reality and entertainment shows.” She adds: “This reboot for MTV brings fresh episodes to the audiences in Latin America and is now available in Spanish.”

“We will be offering more titles produced in as well as dubbed into Spanish and Portuguese,” Verges notes.
