Amazon Prime Video is set to launch the newly remastered Baywatch series in the U.S., Australia and Canada.

The streaming service picked up the long-running drama in a deal with Fremantle, which remastered it into HD 16:9 cinematic widescreen. The upgraded version also features more than 350 new songs that were created to score the iconic Baywatch montages. Baywatch will premiere on Amazon Prime on Sunday, January 20.

Baywatch is produced by and distributed worldwide by Fremantle. Michael Berk, Greg Bonann and Doug Schwartz, the show’s original creators and executive producers, oversaw its remastering.

Lisa Honig, executive VP of North American and international program distribution at Fremantle, said: “Baywatch is one of the most iconic TV dramas in history. The remastered version of the series looks incredible, with a fresh new style and soundtrack that showcases this classic show and its much-loved characters in a whole new way. We’re thrilled that both loyal and new fans of Baywatch will have the chance to relive the action via Amazon Prime Video.”
