International Academy, JCS Partner on New Award

NEW YORK: The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and JCS International are partnering to discover, foster and recognize young talent from across the globe with a competition focused on the theme of peace.

The JCS International Young Creatives Award is open to people between the ages of 18 and 30. The competition opens in June 2017. Entrants should submit a one-minute video, with this year’s theme centered on women peacemakers. Every year, three winners will receive the JCS International Young Creative Award at the International Emmy World Television Festival nominee medal ceremony in New York, alongside the International Emmy Award nominees.

“We thank JCS International for their commitment to help discover young talent from around the world and look forward to adding this new initiative to the International Academy’s important work,” said Bruce L. Paisner, the president and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

“I have spent much of my professional life championing the cause of peace, supporting the arts, and working to empower the next generation,” said Michal Grayesky, the president of JCS International. “I am delighted that JCS International as a media group is partnering with the Academy to create this first-of-its-kind award to celebrate enterprising young artists who share our commitment to peace and I look forward to an ongoing partnership. And I am particularly proud that this year’s theme focuses on female empowerment and peace, two values I live by.”
