eOne Television Taps Noel Hedges as EVP of Acquisitions

Entertainment One (eOne) has hired Noel Hedges, who has worked at such companies as DRG and ITV Studios Global Entertainment, as executive VP of acquisitions for eOne Television.

This newly created role will see Hedges focus on acquiring television product for distribution to all types of platforms and spanning genres such as drama, film, lifestyle, factual, series and formats. Hedges will be working closely with eOne’s development and production teams around the world and will look to source and secure premium scripted programming at the earliest stages. The appointment is effective September 4. Hedges will be based in eOne’s London office and will oversee teams in both London and Toronto.

Hedges most recently was serving as executive VP of content at DRG, where he developed and oversaw the company’s acquisitions strategy. Prior to that, he held key senior roles at Cineflix Rights, Shine International, ITV Studios Global Entertainment and BBC Television, among other companies.
