Disney to Commemorate 90 Years of Mickey Mouse

Disney has lined up a slew of global festivities to mark Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, including an ABC special with celebrity guests, musical performances and more.

The celebration commences March 7 with a fashion show inside Disneyland inspired by Mickey’s “True Original” personality. A Mickey Mouse special will broadcast on ABC in prime time this fall, while Disney Channel is slated to premiere the fifth season of the Emmy-winning Mickey Mouse shorts.

Among other promotions throughout the year, Disney parks around the globe will host the World’s Biggest Mouse Party starting in late 2018. Mickey Mouse first made his big-screen debut in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928.
