Canada-Northern Ireland Projects Secure Investment

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Northern Ireland Screen have revealed more than C$198,000 ($148,000) in funding as part of the Canada-Northern Ireland Co-development Incentive for Audiovisual Projects.

Four Canadian producers will work with four Northern Ireland (NI) companies to develop Tyrone Guthrie: The Stratford Experiment (Canada’s Ballinran Productions and NI’s Finepoint Films), a feature doc; New Pixies (Canada’s Arcana Studio and NI’s Flickerpix), a kids’ animated show; Our Father (Canada’s Première Bobine and NI’s ShinAwil), a dark comedy; and Godley (Canada’s Mattfilms and NI’s Village Films), a detective drama series.

This marks the first investment since the initiative kicked off in the summer.
