Canada-Germany Digital Media Projects Receive C$435K in Funding

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) have confirmed that four interactive digital media projects will receive more than C$435,000 ($327,981) in funding through the Canada-Germany Digital Media Incentive.

As part of the second round of this incentive, the following projects co-produced by Canadian and German companies will receive funding: Brace for Impact (Turbulent Media, Molleundkorn); Bystanding (Kung Fu Numerik, AnotherWorld GmbH); Chomsky vs Chomsky (Eye Steel Film, Schnellebuntebilder); and ICARUS: The Internet of Animals (Occupied VR, FILMTANK).

Three of the aforementioned selected projects are in the development stage and one is in the production stage. Three are rich and interactive media, while one is a social media application. Of the Canada-based production companies, three are from Québec and one is from Ontario.
