Amuz Distribution has unveiled the catalog of titles it is bringing to MIPCOM, totaling over 1,300 hours of programming across dramedy, comedy, animation, documentary and more, including hundreds of hours from the newly acquired Just For Laughs Group.

Among the company’s newly acquired programs are 1995, following filmmaker Ricardo Trogi’s journey during his first movie-making year at 24; Marco, about a man whose life doesn’t resemble his former rock star dreams but whose optimism reconnects him to his passion; Babyatrice, following a precocious, self-proclaimed queen of the castle; Like Father, Like Daughter, centering on the adventures of Daphnée and her father, Pierre; Abroad, a sketch show showcasing Filipino comedians in Canada; and JFL—Gags, in which a Québec-based troupe uses the city as its stage and its inhabitants as characters.

These programs join Amuz’s existing catalog of titles such as About Antoine, Larry, The Clan, Writer’s Block and LOL 😉. About Antoine explores life with a poly-handicapped child. In Larry, a former undercover police officer with a tarnished reputation tries to improve his situation. The Clan follows a repentant criminal living in witness protection. Writer’s Block centers on two TV showrunners who experience creative failure for season one of their crime series but must create season two. The comedy series LOL 😉 features non-verbal sketches where versatile characters evolve in different scenarios.

“Amuz Distribution is thrilled to have added so many great hours of new programming to our catalog—hundreds of hours from Just For Laughs, including 200 hours of Gags, along with the addition of filmmaker Ricardo Trogi’s renowned autobiographical film series; dramedy series Like Father, Like Daughter and Marco and more,” said Alex Avon, chief revenue and strategy officer at Amuz. “We look forward to meeting with our distribution partners at MIPCOM very soon to share all these wonderful new shows and promoting our mission of ‘keeping the world feeling good.’”

Zoé Crabtree, strategic content manager at Amuz, added, “We are very happy that top award-winning producers such as Sphere Media, Passez Go Media and Longhope Media and others have entrusted us to represent their premium programs in the global marketplace. Amuz Distribution has worked hard to gather the best partners for our special programs.”
