A+E Networks Slates Star-Studded Content for 2024-2025

A+E Networks has slated over 2,500 hours of new multiplatform content for 2024-2025, with notable figures such as Tom Hanks, Barack Obama, Derek Jeter, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton and more on- and off-screen.

Additional celebrities set to contribute both in front of and behind the camera include Maverick Carter, Don Cheadle, Alice Cooper, Kevin Costner, Janet Jackson, LeBron James, Reese Witherspoon, Dan Aykroyd and more.

The HISTORY Channel has ordered a 20-part documentary series that tells the story of WWII, hosted and narrated by Hanks, and entered a partnership with President Obama to launch an original podcast exploring the history and legacy of America’s Reconstruction Era.

The network is also collaborating with baseball legend Jeter as executive producer and his production company CAP 2 Productions on two new series, History’s Greatest Warriors and The Icons that Built America. Additionally, The UnXplored with Danny Trejo (w.t.) is set to launch.

From Lifetime comes a Gloria Gaynor biopic from Robin Roberts Presents. Dance Moms: The Reunion will also premiere in May. Lifetime also greenlit the new compilation series Dance Moms: Epic Showdowns and revealed nine hours of new Dance Moms digital content. In addition, the network also ordered a new movie directed by Elisabeth Rohm and starring Billy Zane centering on the cult at Sarah Lawrence College.

From A&E, the all-new Secrets of the Hells Angels has been ordered, as well as Houses of Horror: Secrets of College Greek Life. A&E is also continuing its multiyear partnership with WWE with new episodes of Biography: WWE Legends and WWE Rivals.

From Home.Made.Nation comes a Hello Sunshine development deal, encompassing new content to be developed for the network. Property Virgins has landed a new host in Wendy Wolfe. 48 Hours to Buy has also been greenlit. A+E has also formed a joint venture with Free Food Studios and ordered 278 new episodes of programming over the next two years, featuring Rachael Ray and other talent, set to air on Home.Made.Nation.

The HISTORY Channel is also celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. with HISTORY250, an initiative highlighting long-form content on air, multiplatform short-form and premium events reflecting the power and legacy of American history and stories.
