Turner Latin America and Mediapro have entered into a co-production agreement to develop and produce cross-platform content.

The five-year pact will include two complementary core concepts, with an overall investment of $10 million. The deal kicks off with the production of content for the Chilean market to be aired on Chilevisión, a free-to-air channel owned by Turner Latin America. Both companies will be involved in the creative process, decision-making and content production in Latin America. The output is aimed at not only Turner Latin America’s brands, but also to be exported internationally.

Tomás Yankelevich, the executive VP and chief content officer for general entertainment at Turner Latin America, stated: “It is an honor to have the opportunity to join forces with Mediapro in Latin America. We really admire your work, they have been undisputed leaders for years and we trust that their contribution will be fundamental to consolidate and secure Turner’s new strategy of becoming a multi-screen content powerhouse, always available to fans, not only to supply our brands in the region but for the entire TV market.”

Javier Méndez, the head of content at Mediapro, said: “We are proud and privileged to be able to create this alliance between our companies. We are very happy for the trust they have placed in us to create high-quality content, which Turner will raise to the highest level of exposure and excellence.”
