Wife Swap returns with ten new episodes on Paramount Network starting Thursday, April 4, at 9 p.m.

The show was initially set to air on CMT on February 28. After a restructuring at Viacom, Keith Cox—who developed Wife Swap for CMT—insisted the show move to Paramount so he could continue to oversee its programming after CMT was moved out of his purview.

The reality format sees two families switch spouses and live under the other’s rules for a week, before introducing their own ideas and beliefs into their new households. It originally aired on ABC from 2004 to 2010 and came back for a seventh season in 2013. The format is owned by Banijay Group and is produced by Banijay Studios North America. David Goldberg, Caroline Baumgard, Ted Iredell, Perry Dance and John Platt serve as executive producers.

Wife Swap is an iconic international hit that’s more relevant now than ever,” said Cox, president of development for Paramount Network. “There are plenty of fireworks in each episode that audiences expect, but they’ll also be surprised as they watch these families learn about new lifestyles and choices to find a resolution.”
