ABC Taps Warner Bros. Alum Erin Wehrenberg for Comedy Post

Erin Wehrenberg has been named senior VP for network comedy at ABC Entertainment, joining from Warner Bros. Television.

Wehrenberg will lead the comedy series development team and oversee the department’s day-to-day operations, including creatively supervising production of new comedy series for ABC. Wehrenberg began her career at NBC, where she spent more than a decade rising through the executive ranks, from manager to executive VP of current series, for nearly four years. She was serving as senior VP and head of comedy development at Warner Bros. Television since 2009.

“We are so incredibly fortunate to have Erin join us as the creative force leading our comedy development team,” said Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment. “Erin’s relationships, depth of experience, and taste will no doubt guide us to the next generation of hit ABC comedies, as she has a strategic eye for what connects us through laughter. I have wanted to work with her again since our NBC days, and I’m so happy she chose to join the talented team here at ABC.”
