WGN America Slates Premiere Date for Outsiders

LOS ANGELES: WGN America has set a January 2016 debut for the upcoming drama series Outsiders.

The series explores the epic battle between the Farrell Clan, a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop Shay Mountain for more than 200 years, and members of the town below who dare to challenge their lifestyle. It will premiere on January 26 at 9 p.m. The ensemble cast features David Morse (Treme, Hurt Locker), Thomas M. Wright (The Bridge, Top of the Lake), Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, Bates Motel), Joe Anderson (The Divide, Across the Universe), Gillian Alexy (The Americans, Damages), Kyle Gallner (American Sniper, Veronica Mars), Christina Jackson (Boardwalk Empire, Deception), Francie Swift (Hostages, House of Cards) and Phyllis Somerville (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Big C).

The show is created and written by award-winning playwright Peter Mattei, who executive produces alongside Fedora Entertainment's Peter Tolan, Paul Giamatti, Dan Carey for Touchy Feely Films and Fedora’s Michael Wimer.
