LOS ANGELES: Tori Socha has been promoted to VP of original series at Spike TV.

In her new position, Socha will continue to oversee both current series and original concepts for the network. Her aim will be to expand Spike’s non-scripted slate.

Socha currently serves as executive in charge of Ink Master. She helped grow the franchise by developing the spin-off Ink Master: Redemption, which is now in its third season. Socha is also the executive in charge of development on the upcoming series Caraoke Showdown and the special Tracks.

“Tori’s immense dedication and innovative spirit has proven to be a tremendous resource for our team,” said Chachi Senior, the senior VP of original series, to whom Socha will continue to report. “We look forward to her creative contributions as the network continues to broaden out.”

Prior to joining Spike, Socha served as director of alternative programming at Syfy, developing unscripted series such as Ghost Mine and Heroes of Cosplay. She was also manager of development for TLC. Socha began her career at William Morris Agency, CBS and Discovery Studios.
