Shout! Studios & Ledafilms Enter Pact for Mia and the White Lion

Shout! Studios and Ledafilms Entertainment Group have entered into a distribution alliance for the family movie Mia and the White Lion.

Through the deal, Shout! Studios has secured U.S. home entertainment distribution rights to Mia and the White Lion, including transactional VOD and physical home video rights. The feature opened in U.S. theaters on April 12 through Ledafilms Entertainment Group. Shout is planning a strategic launch for the movie across multiple entertainment platforms this summer.

Directed by Gilles de Maistre and written by Prune de Maistre and William Davies (How to Train Your Dragon), Mia and the White Lion tells the story of a friendship between a young girl and a white lion, following their adventure across the South African savanna. It stars Daniah De Villiers, Mélanie Laurent, Langley Kirkwood and Ryan Mac Lennan. STUDIOCANAL, M6 Films, Film Afrika and Pandora Film in collaboration with Canal +, Cine +, M6, W9 and Film-und Medienstiftung NRW co-produced the film.
