L.A. Screenings Spotlight: Multicom Entertainment Group

Speed Demons: Killing for Attention, a highlight from Multicom Entertainment Group, examines a possible connection between pharmaceutical medications and mass shootings in schools.

“Featuring breaking news regarding the case of the Parkland shooter, this film goes deep into the medications affecting our youth, which may be leading to an increase in violence worldwide,” says Darrin Holender, the company’s president.

Drug use is also a central theme in the film America Adrift, in which a mother fights back when her son becomes entangled in the world of heroin abuse.

The company is also promoting the comedic film Streaker (Flitzer), about a down-on-his-luck high school teacher who recruits and trains “streakers,” setting bets on how long each will remain on the soccer field.

“Multicom’s goal for this year’s L.A. Screenings is to license our new and library titles to broadcasters and platforms domestically and abroad,” adds Holender.
