ITV Studios America Fills New Scripted & Business Development Role

SHERMAN OAKS: Julie Meldal-Johnsen is taking on the post of senior executive VP of scripted and business development for ITV Studios America, a newly created post based in Los Angeles.

The position reports to Orly Adelson, the president of ITV Studios America. Meldal-Johnsen will transition from her current role as executive VP of operations at ITV Studios US Group. Her new focus will be on driving the growth strategy of ITV Studios America, including developing first-look deals and partner relationships. She will be overseeing the company's scripted business, including budgets, development and deals. In addition, Meldal-Johnsen will be involved in scripted projects across the ITV Studios US Group.

Adelson said: “Julie knows where we want to go and has both the business and programming acumen to take us there. She will be able to identify strategic partnerships and opportunities as we continue to grow the company. Her expertise and passion are a great fit for this role and I’m excited to be working with her to build on our already terrific track record.”
