HBO Picks Up The Miseducation of Cameron Post

Desiree Akhavan’s The Miseducation of Cameron Post has been picked up for a U.S. TV launch on HBO.

Released in theaters this past spring, The Miseducation of Cameron Post is Akhavan’s second feature. It is based on the celebrated YA novel by Emily M. Danforth. Chloë Grace Moretz stars in the lead role as a girl who is sent to a gay conversion therapy center after getting caught with another girl in the back seat of a car on prom night.

FilmRise licensed HBO the U.S. rights for a spring 2019 launch. Danny Fisher, CEO of FilmRise, commented: “This is an important film that we are proud to have released theatrically, and are thrilled it has found a home on the HBO programming services. Now it will be available to millions of subscribers who have come to expect top-quality entertainment and enjoy groundbreaking films.”
