Freeform Names Programming, Development VP

BURBANK: Freeform has tapped Jana Steele Helman to direct the development of its scripted drama and comedy series.

As VP of programming and development, Helman reports to Simran S. Sethi, senior VP of original programming and development at the cable network.

“Jana is a fantastic executive with a great eye for material and talent,” Sethi said. “She truly loves our audience, plus she’s a delight to hang out with.”

Helman was previously director of comedy development at Warner Bros.
