AwesomenessTV’s Kelly Day to Head Viacom Digital Studios

Kelly Day, who most recently held senior posts at AwesomenessTV, has been named president of Viacom Digital Studios, a new unit focused on creating and expanding digital content across the company’s global brands.

Effective November 20, Day will work under Bob Bakish, president and CEO of Viacom. She will execute the company’s digital content strategy, overseeing creative and editorial production for its branded social channels. She will collaborate with each of Viacom’s brands, building on current programming as well as developing new, original content and branded entertainment in a variety of formats to increase audiences and engagement.

Previously, Day was chief digital officer at AwesomenessTV before becoming chief business officer. Prior to that, she was CEO of Blip Networks and held a number of leadership roles at Discovery Communications, most recently as executive VP and general manager of digital media and commerce. Earlier in her career, she worked for The Knot and America Online.
