ABC Entertainment Appoints Network Comedy VP

Jennifer Carreras, a 20th Century Fox Television Studios alum, has joined ABC Entertainment as VP of network comedy.

In her new role, Carreras will be charged with managing development and production of new comedy series for ABC. Previously, she had been serving as VP of comedy development at 20th Century Fox Television Studios since 2013. Before that, she was manager and then director of comedy development. Carreras started her career at NBC in comedy development.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Jen for several years both in my time as an executive at 20th and as a studio partner since I’ve been at ABC,” said Jamila Hunter, the senior VP of network comedy at ABC Entertainment. “She is incredibly smart, funny and collaborative, and I’m truly excited that she is joining our team.”
