Breaking Bad, Modern Family Score at SAG Awards

LOS ANGELES: At this year's Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, Breaking Bad walked away with the win for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, while Modern Family won on the comedy side.

Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston also won for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama. Maggie Smith of Downton Abbey received the honor in the female performance category. For comedy, the performance wins went to Ty Burrell of Modern Family and Julia Louis-Dreyfus of Veep.

Michael Douglas was recognized for his role as Liberace in the TV movie/mini-series category for Behind the Candelabra. Helen Mirren took home a statue in the TV movie/mini-series category as well, for her performance in Phil Spector. The award for performance by stunt ensemble went to Game of Thrones.

For motion pictures, the cast of American Hustle took the night's top honor for outstanding performance. Individual nods went to Matthew McConaughey for Dallas Buyers Club and Cate Blanchett for Blue Jasmine. For their supporting roles, Dallas Buyers Club's Jared Leto and 12 Years a Slave's Lupita Nyong'o were honored with SAG wins. For stunt ensemble, the winner was Lone Survivor.
