Showtime Authenticated Service Available on the iPad

NEW YORK: The Showtime Anytime app, which offers subscribers of the premium network free access to series, sports, movies and more, is available to download from the iTunes App Store.

The app is offered free to Showtime subscribers through the network’s cable, satellite and telco affiliates. Showtime Anytime delivers more than 400 hours of the network’s offerings online for viewing on the go. Once a user has been authenticated as a Showtime subscriber, they can use the app to browse the service on their iPads or online.

Programming available includes Dexter, Weeds, Homeland, Californication, Shameless, Nurse Jackie, The Big C and The Borgias. Also included are the upcoming comedy series House of Lies and Inside Comedy. Movies featured include The King’s Speech, Blue Valentine, The Hurt Locker and The Twilight Saga: New Moon. There’s also Showtime Championship Boxing, Inside NASCAR and Strikeforce mixed martial arts, among other sports offerings. Showtime Anytime apps for the iPhone and Android are expected to launch early this year.
