Gaumont International Television to Make Inaugural NATPE Outing

LOS ANGELES: The recently formed Los Angeles-based production and distribution studio Gaumont International Television (GIT) is heading to NATPE for the first time, where it will be highlighting the drama Hannibal.

Hannibal was recently picked up by NBC. Bryan Fuller is developing a script for a 13-episode commitment from the network. Fuller with executive produce alongside Martha De Laurentiis. The show is based on the classic character of Dr. Hannibal Lector. GIT holds all international rights.

“With the warm welcome we received by the buyers at MIPCOM, we felt NATPE was the next perfect step for GIT,” commented Erik Pack, the head of international distribution and co-production. “Some of our recent deals are good indicators that GIT is on a fast track to success and we look forward to this great opportunity to present ourselves once again to buyers from around the world.”
