Twofour Group has established Natural, a new factual-entertainment label that will be led by former NBCUniversal executive Alan Brown, who joins the company this month as the unit’s creative director.

In his new role, Brown will utilize Twofour’s production bases in London, Cardiff and Plymouth to deliver a slate of popular factual and factual-entertainment titles. He currently works as creative director of Chocolate Media, where he has created a slate of features and factual-entertainment shows. Brown’s credits include Great British Buildings: Restoration of the Year, The Apprentice, The Restaurant, Honey We’re Killing the Kids, Driving School of Mum and Dad, The Very Hungry Frenchman, Restoring Britain’s Landmarks and Grow Your Own Drugs, among others.

Brown commented, “These are great days to be making factual content; the number of opportunities across the spectrum is absolutely enormous, and there is such a desire for new shows and innovation. This move fulfills an ambition to work with a creative group of people I know and love. What they have achieved is pretty incredible, so it was just too good an opportunity to miss.”

Twofour Group’s chief creative officer, Andrew Mackenzie, added, “Alan’s irrepressible energy and award-winning producing skills make him a perfect fit for our merry band. We’re delighted to be supporting him in Natural.”
