Blink Films has been commissioned to produce three factual productions for broadcasters in the U.K., U.S., Canada, Australia and France.

The Last Days of Jesus was ordered by PBS in the U.S., Channel 5 in the U.K. and Vision Canada, with Drive scoring a presale to SBS Australia. The 120-minute special spotlights the life of Christ through the prism of Rome. Blink Films will co-produce alongside Associated Producers. The doc will be globally distributed by PBS International.

Blink Films is also producing an 8×60-minute fourth season of Secrets for Smithsonian Channel in the U.S. and Channel 5 in the U.K., with presales secured by Drive to France 5 and SBS Australia. The BBC Worldwide-distributed show is known as Ancient Mysteries in the U.K. and Treasures Decoded around the world.

Volatile Earth is a new 3×60-minute PBS NOVA production by Blink for WGBH Boston in the U.S. and More4 in the U.K., with support from EU Media Plus. Drive has already presold the program to SBS and Foxtel in Australia, Discovery in Italy and RMC in France (two episodes). The series explores some of the most extreme natural events over the last 50,000 years.

Dan Chambers, co-founder of Blink Films, stated: “Our aim for the last 12 months was to build our portfolio of premium factual content both in the U.K. and internationally. These three major new series highlight our growing network of co-production and broadcast partners, as well as a commitment to strengthening ties with our existing collaborators.”
