TVF International Scores Raft of Sales in Europe

TVF International has closed sales for new titles with broadcasters and platforms in the Benelux territories, Germany and France.

Among the new titles sold is Untold Arctic Wars, a YLE, DR, SVT and NRK co-production uncovering the strategic importance of the Arctic Circle in WWII. The series was picked up by National Geographic in the Netherlands as part of a deal for the Benelux region.

The deal also includes Lost Pyramids of the Aztecs, South Africa from Above and Brazil from Above. Additionally, The Netherlands’ RTLZ licensed seasons three and four of Super Tunnel.

In Germany, ZDF acquired China’s Dragon Emperor, while RTL Group’s GEO channel picked up the Russell Crowe-narrated series Great Barrier Reef: A Hidden Treasure. How China Got Rich was licensed by n-tv.

France’s ARTE picked up Frontier Sumatra, and France TV acquired Iceland from Above, South Africa from Above and Wales from Above. Mediawan bought the Animal Planet series Dog’s Best Friend.

DPG in Belgium licensed current-affairs specials Burnout and Everest: A Deadly Ascent. Belgium’s SBS acquired Channel 5’s Santa School, and VRT picked up Sex, Myths and the Menopause, as well as the BBC series Inside Edinburgh Zoo and the Channel 4- and Science Channel-commissioned series Lost Pyramids of the Aztecs.
