TVF International Sells Titles into Asia

Factual distributor TVF International has made a raft of sales to broadcasters across Asia.

In Thailand, TrueVisions licensed 90 hours of premium factual content from the U.K.-based distributor, including the 3×60-minute The World’s Greatest Sporting Arenas from award-winning production company Cwmni Da.

More content in the package includes wildlife titles Bear: Koala Hero and Galapagos: Edge of the World, along with Future Studios’ ten-part series Unbelievable Me.

Food programming proved popular in the region, with VTV in Vietnam licensing the vegan world travel series Eating Plants and the family-friendly tour of British food festivals Great British Bites. ViuTVSix in Hong Kong picked up Paula McIntyre’s Hamely Kitchen.

Warner Bros. Discovery has licensed the following series for its Discovery Asia channel in Southeast Asia, Mongolia, Hong Kong and Taiwan: Japanese Islands from Above, The Big Clean Up and The World’s Biggest Bird Park: The Great Migration.

TVF also brokered a deal with EBS in Korea, who licensed the three latest seasons of the Skyworks production The World From Above. Daai TV in Taiwan picked up The Buddha Code, Super Telescope and Era of Library.

In current affairs, Al Jazeera licensed Mediacorp’s From North Korea with Love, and Phoenix licensed episodes from Mediacorp’s award-winning investigative series Undercover Asia.
